Beginning October 1, 2007, physicians will have a direct connection to Aetna through Payerpath Connect, a comprehensive set of transaction management services linking payers and providers. Aetna expects to receive a significant number of claims from medical practices using Payerpath Claims Management, directly, without the use of an intermediary clearinghouse. Additional claim volumes also are expected from non-Payerpath product users that wish to submit through Payerpath’s clearinghouse connection.
