Payerpath Named One of "Greater Richmond's Companies to Watch"

Listing recognizes 12 Richmond-area companies that have high growth potential
Richmond, VA (October 5, 2005) — Payerpath Inc., a leading provider of Internet-based financial transaction solutions for healthcare providers, hospitals and payers, today announced that it has been named one of "Greater Richmond's Companies to Watch" (GRTCW) by the Venture Forum, a Richmond-based networking group for aspiring entrepreneurs and investors, and in partnership with the Greater Richmond Partnership, Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Greater Richmond Technology Council. The listing recognizes 12 companies that can be significant contributors to the area's economy in the future. Payerpath experienced a 441.54 percent increase in revenue and expanded it employee base from about 35 to more than 90 employees between 2001 and 2004.

"More than 100 companies were considered for this listing, and Payerpath certainly stood out as one of our strongest local companies," said Carl Johnson, chairman of the GRCTW. "The company's business successes epitomize the vibrant entrepreneurial environment of the greater Richmond area."

The GRCTW list is being sent to venture capital firms in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina and will also be publicized in copies of Work Magazine, which will be sent to the Greater Richmond Partnership's mailing list of Fortune 500 CEOs, CEOs of smaller companies, local and national consultants and others. By highlighting these companies individually - and the Greater Richmond entrepreneurial environment generally - the GRCTW hopes to attract companies, attention and investments to the region.

"We are very proud to call Richmond our home and are honored to represent the city in these outreach efforts," said Jim Brady, CEO and president for Payerpath.
